Daily Drone Pre-Flight Inspection

Purpose

This SOP ensures all spray drones are airworthy and safe for daily operations.

Scope

All DJI T50 spray drones before each day’s first flight.

Required Equipment

  • Inspection checklist (QR code: INSPECT-DRONE)
  • Multimeter
  • Battery tester

Procedure

1. Visual Inspection

  • Check propellers for cracks or damage
  • Inspect frame for structural damage
  • Verify all fasteners are tight
  • Check spray nozzles for clogs

2. Battery Check

  • Verify battery charge level >80%
  • Check for battery swelling or damage
  • Test battery voltage with multimeter
  • Log battery serial numbers

3. System Tests

  • Power on and verify GPS lock
  • Test motor startup sequence
  • Verify spray pump operation
  • Check camera gimbal movement

4. Documentation

  • Record inspection in maintenance log
  • Note any anomalies
  • Sign off in logbook
